At the outset I wish to convey my sincere thanks for reposing your trust and confidence in me and choosing me as the President of this prestigious body. I am fully aware of the challenges before me in terms of fulfilling the hopes, aspirations of the members and expectations of society at large and assure you that I will strive to the best of my abilities to fulfill the same. This I am sure will be possible only with the active cooperation and participation of each one of you.
Many of you I am sure would be familiar with the adage ‘Physician Heal thyself’ this adage assumes high significance in today’s healthcare environment with a host of issues plaguing the dispensing of Medicare and I seek your valuable cooperation and participation in making the AHMP (I) meet its avowed goal of making Medicare more accessible, ethical, affordable and impactful while effectively addressing the issues of all stakeholders including the care givers and receivers.
